June Breakfast Meeting

Las Vegas Real Estate Update

Heidi Kasama the incoming State President for the Nevada Association of REALTORS was the keynote speaker for June.    She shared the most recent sales figures for Las Vegas and the numbers showed what we have suspected that the market is suffering from a shortage of available homes for sale.

"We only have 5,600 homes for sale in a valley of approximate 2 Million people, Says Kasama."   Of the homes that recently closed, the average days on market is 36 which is down from 43 in April.

When asked if she was worried about the market over-heating as it did in 2006 she said that with the strict guidelines on appraisals and tight lending rules it should not overheat.

As a property manager of 250 homes Heidi said she routinely uses the contractors in My Las Vegas Connections and thanked them for their professionalism and dependability.
